HARDACHES-CAMPCOPE-7.2.16

Sunday 7th February // 1pm //All-ages

Six String Sounds presents:
EARLY SHOW, so you can get to laneway for the Smitties/V.Soho love fest

“2015 was a big year for The Hard Aches. Release of their debut album PHEREMONES, massive tour with H A N N A H B A N D, melting faces at Sydneys blood sweat & beers and Adelaides Stonecutters festivals, and rounding the country again selling out venues such as The Factory Floor, and The Corner Hotel with The Bennies

2016 is set to be even bigger. Shows in regional VIC with Frenzal Rhomb & Clowns before setting off on the road again in a headline run, introducing interstate friends to Melbourne act CAMP COPE.

While most easily described as the full band version of indie folkstress Georgia Maq, Camp Cope bring a lot more to the table than just that. Still in their relative infancy, the three piece have already racked up supports with many of their heroes, as well as a highlight appearance at this years Poison City Weekender. This is their first national tour, coinciding with a residency at Old Bar.

Stay tuned for more music to be released shortly..”

Anchorhead & Six String Sounds Presents:

The Hard Aches
PHEROMONES ALBUM LAUNCH TOUR
w/ Todd Fogarty (EP Launch)

“THE HARD ACHES are a young 2 piece Punk Rock (and or Feelings – Whatever that even means) band hailing from Adelaide, SA. After 2 years of flatout touring, the release of a Split EP (With Melbourne’s FOXTROT) and a Debut EP of their own (ORGANS AND AIRPORTS), The Hard Aches are gearing up to launch their debut full length album Pheromones with a national tour to back it all up. Pheromones is the result of a shitload of hard work with the entire album being recorded/mixed/mastered by The Hard Aches (BD and Alex) and good friend Matt Hills in a combination of different spaces. The album is also being released through Adelaide independent label ANCHORHEAD Records. Pheromones will be released into the wild on June 12th through Anchorhead Records available online and from independent record shops. Available as 12″ LP or Digital. I Get Like This is the first single from Pheromones with the video clip being shot in the bands rehearsal space (Laundry Matt’s Laundromat) with a whole bunch of mates and GoPros. Edited and cut together by Adelaide shredlord Caleb Williamson. Check it our here:

Marklife: A Black Wire Benefit / Lots of bands! / 25.04.14

Marklife-25.4.14

Friday 25th April // 2pm // All-ages

In the fine tradition of StereoTomic & SounDave comes Marklife.

A celebration of Blackwire and the motley crew that inhabit it.

Anzac Day 2014 sees some of the best and brightest local bands come together in aid of Sydneys most supportive live music space. Keeping it up and running doesn’t come cheaply; and the team behind it are never ones to ask for more than the meager amount they collect from each show.

Ignore the 2-up and crowded inner west pubs. Come down and raise a glass to Blackwire, and local independant music in general. Buy a record!
