Friday 19th September // 6:30pm // All-ages
“Bringing the Sunday arvo vibes to your Friday night is A Campfire Acoustic Night, with five acts on the bill slingin’ guitars and breakin’ hearts.
ZZZOUNDS is the solo project of Dave Drayton, who you’ll know from his time in acts such as Milhouse, Between the Devil and the Deep and – most recently – Pinch Hitter. Come watch some finger-tapping wizardry and songs about cold basements and long drives, and maybe a couple of new tunes for good measure.
JACK LUNDIE is a Novocastrian boy wonder, normally found off to the side as a part of alt-country champions Adeline Pines. This year, however, has seen him try out some solo material for the first time, with the release of a demo entitled 23 Years. He’s returning to Black Wire as a part of his ‘spring break’ tour, so make him feel at home.
CAITLIN HARNETT is a Sydney-based singer-songwriter who has recently returned to Australian shores to release her debut album “The River Runs North.” Come see her before she heads back over to The Great White North.
SHELBY CLEMENTS will be making the trek down from Newie with her friend Jack to make her debut at Black Wire. The name might be a new one, but hers is a voice that you won’t be forgetting any time soon.
NOTHING RHYMES WITH DAVID is opening the show with some selections from his upcoming second album, “This Summer, I Might Have Drowned,” as well as handful of other songs you’ve never heard. He’s doing his best – honest.”
